Preludium was formed in 1999 by the Skowron brothers (Jan on guitar/vocals and Peter playing drums) with the original intention of playing raw black metal but evolved to incorporate death metal influences. In 2001, there was the addition of Grzegorz on second guitar and Lukasz on bass and with this fully equipped and eager to kick ass lineup, Preludium recorded their first demo Infernal Force in the famous Hertz Studio in Bialystok. The following years saw more line-up changes – Peter passed away and was replaced by August of Deception fame, and Wojciech from the band Inner Silence joined as the guitarist/vocalist. In 2004 Preludium released their debut album Eternal Wrath through Polish label Redum666 Records. The brutal death/black album reviewed rave reviews from the press and Preludium played many concerts in support of the album.

In 2008 with the same line up and label support, Preludium released their second album Rape Mankind Disorder. It became the definitive album of this Polish band, showcasing a near-perfect blend of aggression, speed, precision, brutality and atmosphere. Once again it garnered great reviews from the press all around the world, including Diabolical Conquest Webzine whose editor Kunal N. Choksi regarded it as one of the best releases of that year. A tour called United Death Armageddon took place with Hell United and Enclave and guest bands Massemord and Mord'a'Stigmata.

In the following year, Preludium recorded songs for the Abomination MCD as well as brand new songs for third full length album in the same Chinook studio. In early 2010 Abomination was released with their Infernal Force demo by the same local label. For a long time Preludium were looking for a label with better distribution and promotion to release their third full length album and they happened to get in touch with Diabolical Conquest Webzine for some assistance with that. The owner Kunal N. Choksi responded by signing them up and taking upon himself the responsibility of releasing Preludium’s third album and giving it international promotion and distribution through his own newly formed label Diabolical Conquest Records.

Third full length album 'Impending Hostility' by Polish conquerors Preludium is a direct, fierce and deadly assault on the senses. Crushing imperial might of death metal is unleashed with added spitefulness of black metal, leading to veritable total devastation. Owing allegiance to no schools, Preludium are self-trained to destroy everything in their path without discrimination. And when they are done, everything will be wiped out save for perhaps the memory of their scathing historic onslaught.

'Impending Hostility' comes with a full colour 8-panel booklet with awe-inspiring post-World War illustrations elaborating on the theme of the bleak and horrifying cover artwork. All the CDs are made in USA in order to achieve Diabolical Conquest's aim of having world class quality for its releases.
