Propheties Des Foines

"Propheties Des Foines" begins right away with a really fast drum beat. Most grind drum beats are just fast double bass with fast snare/hi-hat or cymbal beats. But this one starts out just with a fast snare and a guitar riff that matches up and is played nicely in time. You hear some shouting and then the normal great grin vocals begin and then you hear the shouting again. The guitar riff goes really well with the drum beat, and the vocals are just awesome. As the song goes on, it stops for a second and everything slows down a little bit and it sounds like the song has finished. Pretty weird.

Le Tigre

The next track is the title track. "Le Tigre" starts out fast and just it’s a perfect example of a grind song. A fast guitar riff playing quietly opens the song and then it’s quickly made loud again and plays along with a fast drum beat and great vocals. Some parts of the screaming (not the actual singing) does sound like a leopard or something roaring. The song does get a little slower around half way through and it pretty much stays at that pace for the rest of the song. But this is just a really great grind track.

Close The Door

"Close The Door" is up next, and again it starts right away with a guitar riff and then drums join in. The vocals are as this song plays on its not hard to notice that this band is an amazing grind band. Everything is played perfectly together and fits in so well which each other.

Wrugh

"Wrugh" starts out with aguitar riff then a fast drum roll, the riff continuesand the drums play a normal drum beat and then anotherquick roll then the beat carries on again. The versebegins at a slow pace, but then it does pick up alittle bit. The pace stays the same for a littlewhilelonger and speeds up a lot and the stops and thedrums hit a few cymbals and stuff then everythingelse beginsat the normal pace like before. Everything stops again and you just hear guitar playing slowly and then guitar stops and a drum beat starts with a nice double bass pattern then guitars start up again.

Jupiter

"Jupiter" starts again right away with guitars and drums then lead right into vocals singing along perfectly. Guitars and vocals stop for a while and make way for drums and bass to play together, guitars start up again and carry this on until vocals begin again. Once the vocals start up again they all play along and keep stopping and starting every now and then. A highlight for this song definitely has to be the multiple screaming towards the end of this song

Chat

"Chat" is an in your face song right from the beginning. It starts with someone shouting some stuff in French and leads right into a brutal section of vocals, guitar and drums. After this they play a different riff for a second then it stops, then carries on then stops and starts 2 times and this method is repeated 2 times and adds a great feeling to the song. Another great song.

Poudre de Perlinpinpin

"Poudre de Perlinpinpin" startswith drums and guitar playing kind of slowly, thendouble bass begins and then it stops and you justhear the snare being beaten and guitar being played then vocals begin and bring the song into the heavy parts. This song definitely isn’t the fastest on this CD but it would still get you moving live. Just after the half way point of the song, you can tell it has sped up a little bit, but then it goes a bit slower towards the end and then the outro sounds like an out of tune radio or something.

Finito Perfecto

The next song, "Finito Perfecto" begins right away and it’s really fast as well so it’s awesome. Drums and guitars are justa deadly combination in this song, the vocals justadd to the song and make it so much better. Everythingstops for a second, then you hear drums playing anormal beat and guitar playing a slow riff and thenall of a sudden double bass begins again and thenthe vocals join in and the song remains at a normal pace. That is until everything stops again and you hear a short riff being played and then everything speeds up like it should for the ending.

Le Long

"Le Long" is next and the first thing you hear is a guitar riff being played then a quick hit of the snare leads into the drums starting and the riff continues until the vocals start. Once they have started the song just turns into a song that would be perfect for when they play live. It sounds like the exact kind of song you need to create a circle pit to. The song doesn’t change the tempo much through out it like on other songs. Definitely my favourite track from this CD.

Round Un

"Round Un" begins with a weird bass beat that sounds like a gun is going off. After a couple of times guitar begins and then vocals start as well and this lasts for at least 11 second then stops for a second and a different riff begins playing slower and drums begin playing along with it and then the vocals let rip and it sounds better. Towards the ending you can hear the vocals being played on their own a few times.

Sakade

"Sakade" is another song that begins with a fast drum beat and a fast guitar riff to match it up perfectly. The shorter songs always seem to be the heavier ones, and this song just goes to prove it. It does have slow parts to it, but that is what makes this band different to the others. They manage to stay just as fast after the slow parts.

Machine A Coudre

"Machine A Coudre" has akind of punk style riff for the intro, it just playsthroughone time and then a heavier riff begins and a fastdrum beat joins it, then the vocals start rippingout and it sounds perfect. The pace does alter abitmore during this song, as after the fast intro partseverything stops and you just hear cymbals being hit a few times then. You think the pace will remainthe same for the rest of the song but then everything stops and you hear the snarebeing beaten 4 times then the song starts up the fast stuff again.

Jazzy Night

"Jazzy Night" starts out like I wouldn’t have expected. The guitar riff is un-distorted and played slowly. They did well to get back in the fast/metal side of things again and everything is greatly matched up on this song as well. The pace stays the same throughout except towards the end it gets a lot faster. It’s a shame that I'm already on the last track, but anyway..

Velour

"Velour" starts with guitars and drum doing great work playing together, but then stop and after a little solo riff the vocals begin and the pace isn’t as fast as before. The drumming in this song is great, I have no idea why but it just stands out a lot more to me on this track. The pace generally stays the same throughout this song but the only change is that it gets a little faster.

The Verdict

I dont know why I have never heard of this band before they are great. If you are a fan of any grind band at all, or even death metal then I will say get this CD now. I promise you will not be disappointed. Some parts of a couple of songs remind me of Aborted and that’s cool because Aborted are a good band. 4.5 because of the intro are a little bit repetitive in the way that it’s always guitar and drums. But other then that it’s great.
